What innovative ideas can be implemented into academic teaching? What will a degree programme look like in 10 years? Lecturers of FernFH dealt with these questions at the internal conference "I-Dee 2020: The Innovation Day of the FernFH".
The lecturers were able to submit their contributions, inspired by relevant publications, best practices, experiments, trials and implementations in their own courses, in advance and present them at the Innovation Day on 18th February at the FernFH Campus. The presentations focused on topics such as innovative forms of examination, assessment options, preparation and further development of teaching materials, but also a vision of the future for university studies.
At conference a wide range of ideas and concepts were presented and discussed. In the common exchange of impulses, new ideas and considerations on ways of implementation were developed. Some of them seem to be realizable relatively quickly, others may still be speculative ideas for the time being. The Innovation Day encouraged everyone to actively think outside the box and thus opened the door for innovative concepts.
The following contributions were on the programme:
- Time to check out – An online course for writing theses after the standard period of study
- To activate students in face-to-face lectures and online events
- Digital fitness quality management in its own right: The European framework for digital literacy of teachers
- Online exams and their framework conditions
- More time for active teaching through automatic evaluation of exercises and tasks
- The university formerly known as FernFH – A look at studying in 2030.
