Internationale Forscher*innen: Exploring the effects of gratitude on the desire for money

Can gratitude suppress the desire for money? What effects can gratitude have on monetary desire? Prof. Dr Agata Gąsiorowska will answer these and other questions in her online lecture on 21 March 2024.

In her online lecture, Prof. Dr. Agata Gąsiorowska will present five exciting studies within the context of her research project, examining the influence of gratitude on the pursuit of money. These in-depth investigations shed light on various dimensions contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted effects of gratitude on the desire for money. Of particular relevance are the causal relationships uncovered during these research efforts, brought to light through the application of practical experiments and precise behavioral measurements.

Speaker

Prof. Dr. Agata Gasiorowska is an Associate Professor affiliated with the Center for Research in Economic Behavior at the Faculty of Psychology in Wroclaw of SWPS University (www.creb.edu.pl). She received a Ph.D. in management from the Wroclaw University of Technology, a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Wroclaw. Her research concerns topics on the psychology of money and consumer behavior and she is interested primarily interested in money attitudes, financial literacy, and market mentality.
